F.A.Q.

No, we can see children with or without an existing assessment or diagnosis.

It varies depending on the child’s needs, but treatment is recommended for 16 sessions or more.

We specialise in working with children and young people under the age of 21, but we have no age restrictions.

The therapist will speak with you at the conclusion of each session.

You can of course attend the sessions of your child, but it is not suggested; at least not regularly. A child’s behaviour and cooperation tends to be different when a parent is present which impacts the progression of the treatment. Please discuss this further with the therapist.

Sensory Kids is open Monday – Sunday from 9:30 am – 7:30 pm.

The sensory integration assessment is play-based and is non-threatening. They are supported throughout the assessment process, much of which is play-based. The child will likely feel like they are playing through much of the assessment.
